ALOR SETAR 3 April - Kerajaan Negeri akan membina litar lumba pada tahun ini sebagai menunaikan janji pada pilihan raya umum ke-13.
Menteri Besar, YAB. Dato’ Seri Haji Mukhriz Tun Mahathir berkata, Kerajaan kini mengenal pasti tapak yang sesuai khusus untuk kenderaan dua tayar selepas dua kawasan sebelum ini mempunyai halangan.
Beliau berkata, pembinaannya tidak akan mengambil masa yang lama kerana bukan seperti litar di Sepang tetapi lebih kepada tapak asas untuk perlumbaan kenderaan dua tayar.
“Kita akan mengenal pasti tapaknya pada bulan ini. Contohnya di kawasan Sidam mempunyai ciri-ciri yang dikehendaki kerana tanahnya agak rata.
“Kerajaan juga bercadang membina litar untuk go-kart,” katanya kepada pemberita selepas menyampaikan Sijil Pra Perkahwinan Islam Percuma 2014 di Dewan Seri Negeri, Wisma Darul Aman, di sini.
Pada Januari 2014, Kerajaan Negeri meneliti lokasi sesuai untuk bina litar lumba sekaligus memberi jaminan akan melaksanakannya dalam tempoh terdekat.
